About Us

Aquaculture Management and Consulting, (AMC) is networking leading managers of fish farming activies, both in Norway and internationally. This includes staff that can work practically as technical experts under the supervision of local management or under “management for hire” models, during both construction and operational phases. The choice of technology depends on species to farm as well as the site available. Site criterias, locations and choice of species must be evaluated. Aquaculture development and fish farming activities will require both an economical calculation as well as quality evaluations. This will set biological targets and how feasible the project will become. The technology choice will require both a feasibility evaluation and a step by step plan based on the local know how.

The Owner of AMC

The Owner of Aquaculture Management and Consulting AS (AMC AS) is Finn Christian Skjennum, who holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Marine Biology from the University of Bergen and Executive Master courses from the Norwegian Business School (BI).

Mr Skjennum is a highly experienced professional in all phases of fish farming operations, including the farming of several fish species. This entails in-depth knowledge from the fish tank to the boardroom, and everything in-between. He has designed, built, and managed fish farms in a number of regions and countries for several decades.

After some time in research and development, of mesocosm and intensive aquaculture of marine species, Mr Skjennum joined the fish farming industry.
